In this two-hour course, you will gain an understanding of what you need to successfully secure a space for your healthcare practice.
Topics of discussion will include:
Types of leasing arrangements which include but are not limited to: direct lease, sublease, shared space and/or working for someone else. Students will leave the discussion with a better understanding of what type of space is best for them at this point and in the future, Lengths of leasing arrangements which include short and long term options, Typical rental concessions for direct leases, What can a tenant expect to receive when signing short or long term leases, Negotiating strategies for the various lease types and lengths, If I purchase a building what are the SBA loan requirements, benefits and other pros/cons?

How to effectively negotiate the arrangement that is best for your practice. Negotiate sub-lease, direct lease, working for someone else and the different scenarios.
1.5 hrs - 2 hrs
If/when I negotiate a direct lease, what can I ask for in terms of concessions - i.e. free rent, tenant improvements, right of first refusal, etc..
