This course is part two of a 15-part series that will empower the participant to have a complete re-understanding of the cardiovascular system. Cardiovascular disease is (unnecessarily) the #1 cause of death in the USA.

 

Part two will provide the causes of cardiovascular disease and the methodologies and principles that can be used to prevent cardiovascular disease.

Outline

  • 0 hrs - 15 min

    Provide the causes of cardiovascular disease. Look at a basic understanding of lipids and cholesterol.

  • 15 min - 45 min

    Identifying inflammation (heat) and the role of inflammation in cardiovascular disease. Identifying mitochondrial dysfunction (Qi deficiency) and the role of mitochondrial dysfunction in cardiovascular disease.

  • 45 min - 1 hrs

    Examine the methodologies and principles that can be used to prevent cardiovascular disease. Discussion of herbs and supplements for inflammation and mitochondrial dysfunction.
