Dr. Chris Metro has worked for well over ten years in the Hai Shan Clinic with Heiner Fruehauf, Ph.D. and knows better than any other practitioner what Heiner’s Gu Syndrome strategies look like when applied to the complications of Chronic Lyme Disease. In this course Dr. Metro reviews multiple cases to demonstrate how herbal formulas change over time to treat shifting symptoms. The viewer will learn how to weave together the strands of classic Gu Syndrome thinking alongside Wu Sheng’an's “descending the qi” focus on the lungs and Huo Shen Pai’s (Fire Spirit School of Herbal Medicine) focus on warming the yang. This brilliant dance of these schools of thought is the key to success with the herbal treatment of chronic Lyme disease.

Christopher Metro

As the son and grandson of chemists in Buffalo, New York, it was almost preordained that Chris Metro completed a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering. His knowledge of chemical systems began with silicate, chlor-alkali, and petroleum-based derivatives, but evolved into the chemistry of people, which led him to study natural medicine, first at the New England School of Homeopathy.
