This course also goes through industry resources readily available to you and answers the all too common questions about what each organization, board, and association does. More importantly, how can these entities help you with your career and business? In this lesson, you’ll learn:

Comprehend variance or roles/responsibilities between different entities like NCCAOM, ASA, State Licensing Boards and understand how these entities benefit the masses and the individual practitioner.

Outline

This is the course introduction. It outlines what to expect and what value will be added. Here, we also explain the different definitions of advocacy. There are ways to advocate beyond the traditional means we often think of.
15 min - 30 min
We discuss how advocacy can actually help you grow your business. How you can get more involved will also be understood.
30 min - 45 min
This is the course introduction where we will review main content. We will preview critical needs for knowledge in the industry of acupuncture. We discuss the trends in the industry. We will gain an understanding of who the main players are.
45 min - 1 hrs
Understanding our regulatory bodies is critical to our success. We will look at why this is a safety issue if we do not know who these different regulators are. We discuss how to safely navigate things like regulation vs advocacy. We learn what to do in the event something happens on a practice or organizational level, and who could potentially be involved.
1 hrs - 1.5 hrs
