This class is packed with pragmatic information and research to help prepare you to help yourself and others to live a longer and more healthy life.
This course addresses the history of longevity and preventive medicine in China and how modern science has confirmed it. The latest eastern and western research on mild cognitive decline including dementia, Alzheimer's disease is reviewed along with herbal, and acupuncture strategies for longevity. The historical and present longevity in the world is reviewed including the effects of Covid including happiness, creativity, the senses, loneliness, and other factors. The research on Blue Zones throughout the world is examined and how their common principles of longevity can help promote a longer and healthier life.
Various researched factors and their affect and predictability on longevity will be shown including, race, socio-economic, movement, sport, sleep, occupation, height, weight, balance, stress, and dozens more factors. A review of the research on diet, nutrition, food combining, fasting, and its effect on quality and quantity of life. The history of Chinese longevity work including famous herbal formulas, acupuncture, cupping, Gua Sha, meditation, Qigong, and other modalities is presented including unique uses of acupuncture points to promote a long healthy life. The use of TCM to regulate the body in seasons, stages of life and constitution.

Dr Cameron Bishop lived, worked and studied in Japan for four years. He specializes in Japanese Meridian therapy, Women's Health and Pain Management. He has been practicing over 25 years in South Florida. He has extensive teaching and clinical experience.
