Dr. Mark Parzynski, DAOM, L.Ac., is a licensed acupuncturist and educator with a rich and diverse background in East Asian Medicine. He has trained extensively in the United States, Japan, and China, integrating unique therapeutic approaches to create personalized treatment plans for his patients. With over a decade of experience as a clinical supervisor and educator, Dr. Parzynski has taught graduate students and clinicians, fostering the next generation of acupuncturists.
He earned his Doctorate and Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM). His research focused on non-needling modalities for acupuncturists. His education also included intensive study in Japanese Meridian Therapy and Classical Chinese Medicine.
Dr. Parzynski’s practice is enriched by his background in Chinese internal martial arts. He began practicing martial arts and qi gong at age 11 and later became a senior student of the late Sifu Gregory Fong, who granted him permission to teach in 2006. The integration of qi cultivation and martial arts enhances his holistic approach to health and well-being.
Beyond his clinical and teaching roles, Dr. Parzynski is a skilled craftsman and silversmith. Since 2010, he has been using precious metals to create traditional non-insertion acupuncture tools, such as teishin, gua sha tools, and guide tubes. His tools are highly regarded by practitioners worldwide.
Through his business, AcuArtistry, and his private practice, Dr. Parzynski continues to innovate in the field of acupuncture. His dedication to research, craftsmanship, and integrative health practices is unwavering, making him a respected and influential figure in the acupuncture community.
