This course covers a wide variety of information on safety issues affecting the prescription of Chinese herbal medicinals. The course discusses various side effects and adverse reactions that are possible with Chinese herbal medicinals, the three major types of toxicity (nephrotoxicity, hepatotoxicity and fetotoxicity), the aristolochic acid issue, contaminants in patent medicines, herb-drug interaction problems, and the best practices for you to use Chinese herbal medicine safely.
