As acupuncturists' services are more and more frequently being integrated into mainstream medical treatment facilities, many practitioners have a serious need to understand more Western medical terminology, physical examination procedures, and diagnostic parameters. This course is one of four programs in this Basics of Western Medicine for Acupuncturists Series. Courses included in this series are: Neurology for the TCM Practitioner, Infectious Diseases, Musculoskeletal Diseases and Women's Health: Obstetrics, Gynecology, Breast Disease and Infertility. These courses are designed to teach acupuncture practitioners the basics of Western medicine and "medispeak" for each of these specialties.

(9) Physics and physiology: the bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, & skeletal muscles

(11) Bone Infections

(12) Vasculitis Syndromes

(13) Disorders of the lumbar spine Disorders of the cervical spine

Objectives
