Course Overview

Understanding Ban Xia Xie Xin Tang (BXXXT), its stucture and mechanics, provides insights into the importance of the qi dynamic in managing gastrointestinal problems. A member of the harmonising group of formulas, BXXXT demonstrates how the use of herbs with opposing natures and directional tendencies can drive and restore normal qi movement. While the main focus is on the middle burner qi dynamic, the principle can be extended to assist in rectifying other qi dynamics, the Heart Kidney axis, Spleen Lung (ying wei dysharmony) etc. We look at the directional tendencies of herbs and how to combine them to suit specific purposes.

Reviews

  • Dana Q. (United States of America)

Really enjoyed the clear explanation of the Qi Dynamic and how to look at the formulas as a way of moving Qi and blood to bring harmony to the patient.

  • Kellie K. (United States of America)

I thought this course was really interesting and the teacher has a way of teaching herbs that seems deeper, makes much more sense and makes learning easier then some teachers who just read the handouts and speak of the individual effects of each herb in a formula rather than presenting a more overall cohesive and dynamic picture. Will gives case examples as well, which also make the material more accessible.

  • Ehud T. (Australia)

Your wealth of knowledge and confident delivery with so many years of clinical experience instil confidence in the clinical settings as you contribute so much and deepen the understandings of these commonly used formulas. Thank you 🙏
