Whitfield Reaves

Whitfield Reaves, OMD, LAc, has been working in the field of sports medicine since he first began practice in 1981. He earned a Doctor of Oriental Medicine degree in 1983 that included a thesis entitled Acupuncture and the Treatment of Common Running Injuries. Whitfield’s experience in sports acupuncture includes the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, as well as numerous track and field, ski racing, triathlon and cycling events nationally over the last 35 years.

 

Whitfield has been in the forefront of the acupuncture sports medicine field, lecturing in North America and Europe since 1986. He has earned high praise for his direct approach with simple yet effective point selection. His webinars with Net of Knowledge feature the series Mastering the Treatment of Injury and Pain.

 

Whitfield teaches live seminars including The Acupuncture Sports Medicine Apprenticeship Program. And his in person Practicum Series is designed for those who seek live hands-on clinical supervision after completing online webinar learning.

 

Additionally, Whitfield is the author of The Acupuncture Handbook of Sports Injuries and Pain. Those who study his work all seem to agree that Whitfield is a teacher not to be missed!
