Because Chinese gynecology is a subdivision of internal medicine, this program is oriented toward the practice of Chinese herbal medicine as its principal modality. While we\u2019ll discuss acupuncture and its role in the treatment of gynecological diseases, students in this program need to have a background in basic Chinese herbal medicine, including materia medica and an essential repertoire of 70-80 herbal formulas.<\/p>\n<p>The curriculum is organized into five courses.<br \/>\nThis is the first course of the five which includes:<\/p>\n<p>(1) History and Principles of Chinese Gynecology &amp; Menstrual Disease<br \/>\n(2) History of Chinese gynecology<br \/>\n(3) Basic theories and concepts of Chinese gynecology<br \/>\n(4) Fundamental principles of diagnosis<br \/>\n(5) Disease causes and mechanisms<br \/>\n(6) Herbs and acupuncture in Chinese gynecology<br \/>\n(7) Preventing gynecological diseases<br \/>\n(8) Diseases related to menstruation (yue jing bing) and the menstrual cycle<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This advanced training introduces the foundations of Chinese medical gynecology, focusing on core theories, diagnosis, and menstrual disorders.
