Nourishing Life is the Chinese medical specialty of helping the body to age without unnecessary deterioration. It has been practiced for more than 2,000 years and was emphasized in the Huang Di Nei Jing. Moxibustion has been one of the favored modalities for nourishing life since the Tang dynasty. In this course, we will discuss the history, theory, and philosophy of nourishing life, learn two specific methods using direct moxibustion, and practice using direct moxibustion to nourish life.

Lorraine Wilcox
Lorraine Wilcox has been a licensed acupuncturist in California since 1989. She is the author of two books on moxibustion and the translator of a number of old books on Chinese medicine. These include Miscellaneous Records of a Female Doctor and Raising the Dead and Returning Life.
