DUI YAO - The Art of Specificity

Thu 27 Nov 2008

AN EVENING SEMINAR BY DANIEL WEBER

Introduction: The art of medicine is in choosing the correct complex of herbs to exactly match the patient’s presentation of a disease.

'Dui Yao is the refinement of this art'

Dui Yao literally means “double herb” but in practise Dui Yao is the art of altering classical formulas to more specifically match the patient’s exact need. Dui Yao allows for subtle adjustments in classical formulas to more clearly match the precise characteristics of patient, disease and 'time'.

This seminar sees Daniel Weber return to his roots in Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine by working with a number of Dui Yao and their application in the clinic.

Daniel will look at 50 Dui Yao and their impact on formulas and he will look at using combinations of Dui Yao themselves to construct new formulations and how any number of Dui Yao itself are therapeutic interventions.

You will learn how to subtly adjust classical formulas to more precisely match the characteristics of the patient’s exact need: The Art of Formula Construction.

Seminar participants will receive a desktop reference book: The Art of Construction, a Modular System; a reference CD and charts on combining.
