In this one-hour lecture, Bob Flaws discusses the Chinese medical treatment of depression, including the relationship between the Western psychiatric disorder of depression and the Chinese medical pattern of liver depression. Bob also outlines all the causes of liver depression—both psychological and physiological—as well as all the disease mechanisms associated with liver depression. After reviewing the standard modern Chinese medical textbook treatment of emotional depression, Bob shares his observations about real patients in Western clinical practice.
