Course Overview

Please Note: This is an Audio Course.

Wang Qing-ren was the creator of a number of the most commonly used formulas in modern clinical practice. These formulas are vitally important for the treatment of blood stasis anywhere in the body. As Wang said, “In enduring diseases, there must be blood stasis.” By understanding this group of formulas, students will be able to treat a wide range of chronic diseases more confidently and competently.

The formulas covered in this one day class include: Xue Fu Zhu Yu Tang, Ge Xia Zhu Yu Tang, Shao Fu Zhu Yu Tang, Shen Tong Zhu Yu Tang, Tong Qiao Huo Xue Tang, and Bu Yang Huan Wu Tang. In this class, we will see how Wang created these formulas in the late 19th century based on postmortem dissections. More importantly, we will examine each of these formulas in depth, looking at their composition, functions, indications, and modifications as well as recently published clinical trials showing how these formulas are used today in clinic in China.
