Course Overview
Please Note: This is an Audio and Reading course.
The ability to read the pulse is what distinguishes the Chinese doctor from the folk healer and it is one of the most difficult skills for practitioners of acupuncture and Oriental medicine to master. However, it’s not an impossible skill to learn. Basically, there’s a trick to pulse reading—a trick no one else ever mentions or teaches, one that Bob will teach you. It has helped him become a better practitioner, and it’ll help you, too.
This course covers:
(1) The characteristics of the normal pulse
(2) The four basic pulse images
(3) Precise descriptions of the 28 disease pulses
(4) The meanings and mechanisms of the 28 disease pulses
(5) The role of pulse examination in Chinese medical pattern discrimination
(6) The corroboration of signs and symptoms, tongue and pulse
(7) The obstacles to mastering Chinese pulse diagnosis—and the secret to overcoming them
(8) Why Western patients typically do not display Chinese textbook pulse images
(9) Advanced Chinese medical theories and their impact on pulse diagnosis
(10) How to interpret complex pulse combinations
(11) How to develop eyes in your fingertips
(12) Which disease mechanisms are easily indicated by pulse and which are not
(13) How to determine what a given pulse image means for your real-life Western patients
