Course Overview
Please Note: This is an Audio and Reading Course.
To a great extent, Westerners’ growing interest in Chinese medicine over the last thirty years has emerged out of a larger interest in personal development. Accordingly, Western practitioners and their patients are often more interested in mental-emotional issues as much as physical complaints. Chinese medicine has been treating mental-emotional complaints for all of its more than two-thousand-year history. This course teaches you how to diagnose and treat such complaints with acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
This course covers:
(1) The body-mind relationship in Chinese medicine
(2) Disease causes and mechanisms affecting the spirit mind
(3) The pivotal role of liver depression and all its disease mechanisms
(4) Age, sex, and the menstrual cycle’s affect on the psyche
(5) Yin fire and gu worms as they relate to Chinese medical psychiatry
